Katie's field of expertise:

Katie works with teens and young women. She is trained as master's level Marriage and Family therapist.

"As a teenager, I struggled with anxiety and depression, but I didn't know what to call it or that I needed help. Many years after, I sought therapy and learned more about myself, how to manage my anxious symptoms, and improved my self-esteem. It is for that reason that I am passionate about working with teenage females that are currently struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, meaning I can work with individuals, families, and couples, and I graduated with my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University in 2014. I have been working with adolescents for 3 years and I look forward to continuing that work!

Fun things I like: elephants, Harry Potter, volleyball, and board games."
